The UAE’s Al Madani Group emerged a big winner at the Charley’s Franchisee Convention Award 2010 held recently in the United States with multiple awards. Present at the event in Arizona were Al Madani Group Chairman and CEO Mohammed Al Madani (second from left) and general manager of the food and beverage division George Kunnappally (third from left), who received the award from Charley’s founder and President Charley Shin (right) and VP-Operations ED Randall (left). . The company is the regional developer of Charley’s Grilled Subs Restaurants in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Its stores were honored for maintaining exceptional operational standards, and the Dubai Mall location earned recognition for the highest sales achieved by an outlet outside the US in the shopping mall category. The charley’s stores in the Dubai Mall also won the Million Dollar Club Award for outperforming hundreds of stores in sales volume. Another outlet, this one in the Mall of the Emirates, won for the highest sales increase in a year.
